In fact, going through the 1st words with En En is not so difficult.. I choose to interest her with flash cards of fruits and vegetables. I believe she'll be more interested to find out more about the stuff she eats and sees everyday than looking at alphabets which she has already learn to pronounce as she goes when she learns to pronounce the words.
Maybe i can recommend this to the parents... i read up the Shichida website 1 day since i was rather interested into putting En En into that learning school. So i came across reading an article whereby the Professor as interviewed said something like ' a childs' mind can only pay attention for up to 15mins' so i choose to go through with her the 1st 10 cards mixture of fruits and vegetables for only 15mins at 2 times of the day (before and after her afternoon nap) i think its working out. As it was just the 2nd day and En En is able to pronounce words starting with 'P' like Peach, Pear and Papaya but she doesn't really can say words like Kiwi and Spinach that well. However, she'll make an effort to at least respond like 'pi - nei' - 'Spinach' so i should consider En En as very good already. Her 2nd attempt facing brand her 1st pile of cards and she shows this results.
Also, i prefer buying flash cards which are white in th ebackground and the letter or object is in colours. I think in this way the child can be esily captivated by the colours. I watch the Tue, 10.30pm TV interview on parents whom have sen their children to the Shichida School (right-brain education) and shows good results and also the Shichida teachers have use cards similar to mine. So im motivated to start En En's 1st word since then...
Its really good for them to start learning young as they really absorb fast... Anyone should just try and see the results in 3 days.
*laughs* im as if selling hair shampoo....
