En En Big Day

Its En En b'day!! Busy these week getting her goodies for her goodie bag. See...these are what En En is giving away for the day.Look!En En is helping to pack the gifts for her guests.

Went to the wet market with my PoPo to buy the seafood(squid, stingray and prawn) for the day usage. Have to buy chilli to make the chilli paste for the beehoon and the seafood(to wrap with in a aluminium foil).

Here are pictures... her birthday cupcakes and ice-cream cake(from SWENSENS), people enjoying their food... En En playing with her elder cousins (Qing, Fong, Yu, De En , Clavier(my bro=her uncle) and De Ren), the aunties that help to look after En En doing the barbeque for everyone, the champagne and wine that we'll be serving the guests, decoration for the day (lots and lots of balloons-En En's favourtite)...



So busy... EnEn is very busy entertaining her guest too... I didn't manage to capture many of her photos except when cutting her b'day cake...Family time again...!

Maya Back home

We had our breakfast (fishball noodles) and packed for Fukky and Ling. They're so busy packing up Maya's and their luggages. Afraid that she'll not be able to adapt yet, Ling brought quite a number of items over. Here are some photos we took with Maya at Ling place before leaving for the airport and while Ling and Fukky is busy continuing to pack the stuffs.... 5 luggages!!

In preparation for En En's birthday...

So busy... im so vex... researching on the prices and the cake designs and everything like the food caterer and getting rsvp from people we invited for her birthday!!
I think this time i'll make sure she'll remember for her life...!! Coz at 1yr old, i doubt she knows anything. HAO MANG!!!! Did some research for cupcakes and cakes thinking it'll be different to have a cupcake birthday party since having bbq(dunno everyone wants to have a piece of cake) and here are some websites you can use as a reference: (from google search) cupcake momma and mongs cupcake and cakes with really pretty and designs you never expected and really want to have for your child: gladcake.blogspot.com or the patissier.com and for the cupcake tiers you can rent or buy from this bake-it-yourself store. Really driving me crazy... comparing prices and looking out for this design i want for her cake. BUT!! I ended up ordering a SWENSENS ice-cream cake. Everyone will at least get a serving of the ice-cream cake and it'll be nice to watch the children have the YUMMY-LOOK when they're so enjoying the cake!
Some preparations for her birthday is to get the goodie bags(just the platic bags alone) and some stuff to fill-in and her favourite bubbles!! When she saw the bottles of bubbles, she was like, 'PAPA! MAMA! SEE! BUBBLES!' and she ran forward handing over bottles of bubbles to us and say, 'PAPA! MAMA! PAY MONEY! BUY! I WANT!' so Daddy and me kept laughing at her coz the bottles were falling all over the ground and she turn round and round to pick them up. So funny... Here are what that'll be going into the goodie bags... more to come...!!

Stella B'day!!

31st Jan

Reach there in the evening... went over to mummy's place coz mummy picked me up form my place and she's not free yet so we'll only go over at evening. Everyone rush to see Shao En, to repeat Shao En and not Stella. I think Stella mention much about En En to her paternal family. Since its been long they seen En En... *smiles* Thank God for giving such a wonderful daughter!!

Had our buffet dinner, i like the mutton rendang... My favourite de... fish with sauce( thai chilli sauce or sweet and sour?) fishballs too salty... En En played in the room on the organ while i eat since i had fed her before we went over as i know she'll be too distracted to eat then... Then i need to rush home about 10pm. So i hurried Stella to cut her cake... Here are some pictures...
Naughty En En poke her finger into the cake to get some cream and we had the evidence... Look at Stella trying to seduce *laughs*... But the guys behind dun seem bothered... Just joking...!!! *laughs* she is just handling the cake to someone behind her when she strike that poise... haha... (Stella: can tell your photographer from this angle also not bad.)

HFMD

When EN EN is better, Fen ask my mum-in-law to go over help look after her sons. Not knowing or maybe she thinks i can handle En En all alone, by myself not even having the time to go to the toilet or do my chores(like disinfect). When she already has a maid and her father-in-law to help around the house. While IM ALL ALONE with EN EN. Never mind... It has past...Thank all gods for guarding over me and my daughter!!
Best thing is that my-in-law didnt disinfect the place when she's back maybe she really too tired having to wake up early to work... For the sake and health of En En, i hope she can recover totally and fully charged, i went to my mum's place to stay till she and they're fine. Came home on thursday to change to bedsheets and soak them in hot dettol disinfectant water so i can return on fri. Put her on the bed since she's asleep and start to disinfect the place once and again.
Had breakfast this morning with my nephews finding out that De En has yet recovered fully!! Oh my god...!! But hopefully and thankfully, the HFMD don't start again! Ling met us for praying TAI SUI and found herself burst out with rashes all over her hands and arms and some on her ankle. Hopefully its not...i've disinfect everything twice everyday...did i miss somewhere...what about MAYA?? Very worry...

CNY (Day 3)

Unexpectedly, my nephew De Ren is down with the HFMD, Fen called to inform us of it. Telling me to keep a look-out for En En palms, feet and body. But because we stayed at my mum's place so i think there's not much of virus to be found there and i quickly bath her so En En was fine for 2days till she returned home. The very first thing i do is let En En go to bed, clean to detox and disinfect the whole house and every little small object that En En might come into contact with. Soak all her toys and cleanse everything twice, really tiring but for the sake of my En En to minimise the chance of contrcating is this. CNY DAY 5 the HFMD breakout on En En. Having seen some spots and she complaining that her mouth is painful, i brought her to Dr Neo to confirm. It was partly because the adults played mahjong at Fen's place knowing the kids are down with HFMD and return home with the virus (virus carrier). Though the adults are fine going to and fro but don't you realise that you're carrying the virus?? Because like what the doctor also mentioned was "the 2days she was fine was because there's not much of the virus at the place she in" If im selfish and inconsiderate, i think there are many things that i can do, i can say, i can choose at that point of time... Really afraid Maya would get it, i quickly sms Ling to inform her.
I think because of the tiring things i have done for En En and i think it works... The HFMD was not as bad as my 2 nephews.. Theirs was really bad but not as worst as the ones my cousins and i had before. And i made cooling herbal tea for En En everyday. Chinese medical says when ulcers breakout, its because of heatiness. So i dealt with the mouth ulcer first so she could at least have her meals properly. I used the watermelon frost(a powder spray) that really work on her, as she prefer chinese medicine. Also the western medicine only helps to numb the pain so the child could eat and drink as normal but doesn't healp in healing so i tried that. I BELIEVE BREASTMILK HELPS ALOT TOO!!! Doctor told me to continue breastfeeding if she is fine with it because to a certain extend, my nephews reject their food and drinks that 1 of them had to be on drip. Poor thing~! Luckily im still breastfeeding, if not what will happen to my En En . Thank God for my stubborness !!
Went online and did some research that ONLY Singapore has this HFMD not sure of the reasons behing thou. But healing should be 5-7days . Bathe En En and clean her frequently with the dettol solution (dettol and water) -helps disinfect everything she fully recovered in 5days.

CNY (Day 2)

Its 1 end to the other end!!! Really not lying!!
Had some food at 3rd aunt house, congee and fried noodles. Many chinese believes in old wives tales or should i say that's a tradition, NEVER EAT CONGEE DURING FESTIVE SEASONS! People says only the very poor who can't afford will eat congee or even the very poor will try to save to have rice during chinese new year. When i ask my friend's mum, she said that too... So i believe this belief has pass down to the younger generations. *smiles* Its good to learn then next time if i have the chance to invite friends and relatives to my place i would not serve congee and porridge. But anyway, 3rd aunt's porridge taste really good de!! *shiok shiok* got lots of ingredients de!! Only ate her cooking twice and thats during chinese new year. The SOON KUEH she makes can never be compared to the ones you buy or see outside. ZHEN CAI SHI LIAO !! Takes really great effort !! Seen her done it...
Next is Hoon's place. Also ate some while En En played with the other children. Then fed her cereal because yesterday she ate chicken porridge and toasted cod fish(its flesh taste better than you fry it-BAO CHUN LE cod fish DE JING HUA. When Fen turns up, telling me De Ren is running a fever. But i say its ok, En En grew up with them and should be alright since 2mths old she got spread of the illnesses from them. The invited guest to Hoon's place were there for gambling session (for the DU SHEN award) *laughs*
Last station for the day, Shirlin's place for dinner. Aunty cooked lots of dishes and most were finished. Luckily she had a piece of cod fish reserved for us. Fed En En rice and lotus root soup and her favourite cod fish. This time the cod fish is steam with the terriyaki sauce. Taste sumptous!! Then En En proceed into the room to have fun with the children. Took a few photos... Me, En En, my mum, Stella , Nicolette and my sis, Clarice.
